Charlie Waller Memorial Trust event

Dear Parent/Carer,

Your children can have fun – and make a massive difference

Over the past year, we have been very fortunate to have had Dick Moore from the Charlie Waller Memorial Trust visit our school to speak with staff on the importance of looking after our children’s mental health. Dick also produced a video for our senior school boys during lockdown, which delivered a strong message on looking after our wellbeing .
At Charlie Waller, their vision is of a world where people understand and talk openly about mental health, where young people and those who support them are equipped to maintain and enhance their mental health and wellbeing and have the confidence to seek help when they need it.

As a charity, they can only provide these vital resources thanks to the financial support and generosity of their supporters.

I am delighted to say that our school has chosen to support the valuable work of the CWMT by taking part in a fundraising event, and we would really value your support and encouragement.
‘Give to others’ is one of the 5 steps to good mental wellbeing and the step that we are focussing on this term. Even the smallest step can count – whether it’s a smile, a thank you or a kind word. The Keble family has already made an impact this term by ‘giving to others’ and as a result of this we have been recognised as a Kindness School.

Explanation of the Event

After plans for a wellbeing week at school with lots of fun activities was well and truly squashed by the pandemic we thought it was time for a bit of fun, joining up the whole school whilst maintaining our separate bubbles.

The Keble family has always been amazing when it comes to helping others and supporting charities. This year we are proud to support the Charlie Waller Memorial Trust as our chosen charity. CWMT is a charity which equips young people to look after their mental well being and provides expert help when people need it. They can only provide these vital resources thanks to the financial support and generosity of their supporters.

On Tuesday November 3rd we are inviting everyone to wear their most brightly coloured clothes (not school uniform) to take part in a WHOLE SCHOOL ‘THE ROAD TO AMARILLO’
Please sponsor your son to march in time with the whole school by giving your child permission to take part. Simply sign the sponsor form and return the form and money raised to school by Friday 20th November. If you have more than one child in school simply put all your children’s names at the top of one form.
