Sports & PE

Sport and PE are an integral part of the experience at Keble.

Pupils begin their sporting journey in Pre Prep, receiving two PE lessons per week. In addition, Year 2 children are introduced to further games lessons, with opportunities to participate in football, hockey, rugby, netball, and cricket. As pupils move into the Prep School, PE lessons continue with our specialist team. Competitive fixtures against other schools are introduced from Year 3, including matches in football, rugby, netball, and cricket, with hockey being introduced over the coming year.

From Years 5-8, pupils participate in two games afternoons. Wednesday is our traditional fixture day, and all pupils have the opportunity to represent the school in teams from A through to E. Football is played in the Autumn Term, Rugby in the Spring Term, and Cricket during the Summer Term. Keble also participates in cross-country races, athletics meetings, and swimming galas. Learning to swim is a life skill that Keble greatly values. Pupils in Years 3-6 travel to Southgate Leisure Centre once a week for swimming sessions with qualified swim teachers and coaches.
