Welcome back to our lovely Year 3 and 4 Boys

Welcome back to our lovely Year 3 and 4 boys, who return after a two week period, and of course to all their teachers who have worked so hard during the past few weeks to deliver the boys remote learning so successfully – A huge thank you to them for all their hard work.

All the boys did a great job continuing their learning remotely but they enjoyed returning to school to see their friends again and not just via a screen. The boys have now had a chance to use the new outdoor play space at school – It is a fantastic place for the boys to socialise, develop skills, compete and have fun. The boys really do enjoy the new activities that the KPSA have worked so hard to facilitate.  A huge thank you goes to our wonderful KPSA who have organised the new playground.

After two weeks away from school it was great to see the boys back at the Winchmore Hill Sports Club. With two games sessions remaining of the term, focus turned to the House Football competition. Usually the tournament takes place in October on a Saturday, involving the whole school community, but due to the current situation the competition has taken place behind closed doors this year. This week was the turn of the Year 3 and 4 boys. On a very wet and cold afternoon, the boys showed great team spirit and gave their all in some exciting, end to end, fun games. Well done to all of the boys who took part. The boys’ scores will be added to the scores from years 5-8 with the House football champions being crowned during the final assemblies of the term.

Next week, our attention turns to the house cross country. A chance for the boys to show their ability and determination in competition with each other over the sustained running course.
